UGHHHHH

Geeze!  It seems like I'm always catching up! Let's see, since November I have:

  • Participated in PT Bridge workshop at PC Office



  • Friendsgiving




  • School Fair (I manned the haunted house)




  • Visited Lethem (see previous post)
  • Cooked during a blackout




  • Hosted a couple of couch surfers (from Austria, Poland, and Germany)




  • Began a steel pan band at St. Therese





  • Interviewed for and offered the PCVL (Peace Corps Volunteer Leader) role for Education
  • Celebrated Hanukkah with PCV's and Guyanese






  • Had a birthday
  • Spent that birthday in Georgetown with friends 





  • Watched the new Star Wars movie with Catherine
  • Birthday in New Amsterdam



  • Group Chat!!!




  • Spent Christmas with other PCV's at the Marriott








  • Went to Suriname for New Year (again)






  • Came home from Suriname to a flooded house and had to clean up (thanks to Zach and Steven for the help)




  • Rum Chata Root Beer Floats with Sarah




  • Taught a couple professional development sessions for the teacher's of St. Therese
  • Attended GUY28 COS (Close of Service) conference




  • Attended the Peace Corps field day
  • Attended the MASH competitions and cheered on St. Therese





  • Went on school tour (field trip) to Georgetown with grade 2





  • Taught a local to make bobaganush
  • Met Sharon; a Guyanese living in Philedelphia who met my parents on an African Safari a few years back who I had never met




  • Played Phagwah at school and at a friend's




  • Students from St. Therese's video chatted with students from Jackson Academy, MS.





  • Random Basketball Tournament

  • Finished all COS medical (have you ever had to poop in a cup 3 times?

  • Said goodbye to New Amsterdam and St. Therese







  • Moved to Georgetown
  • Said Goodbye to to GUY28 




  • Started PCVL duty in the PC Office 
  • Took a month off and was in Tennessee and Wisconsin (sorry if I didn't see you...it was a crazy month!)













  • Came back to Guyana an extra 5lbs heavier
  • Greeted GUY31 at the airport
  • Moved to Essequibo for GUY31 PST (back to GT on the weekends)




  • Visited Region 1 (more on that to come)



  • Attended the wedding of a PCV 




  • Co-facilitating and Facilitating sessions for PST


That is all for now.  I'm off to watch the World Cup Final with friends before heading back to Essequibo!  Enjoy!
